This purchase includes two oil paintings on board, both signed by Pisano upper left, and additionally by pencil on the back. The wooden, hand-carved borders are potentially the original frames, with fabric squares at roughly 9 1/2" x 13", and outer edges at around 14" x 18" - Expressionist and cubist painter Edouardo Pisano (Spain, 1912-1986) had his first art opening in 1933, and worked mostly in France. In 1978, he opened his own "Escuela Municipal de Arte Edouardo Pisano", in Torrelavega, Northern Spain, and during his career, exhibited alongside fellow luminaries such as Pablo Picasso, Hernando Vines, Oscar Dominguez and Ginés Parra. Pisano is found in the collections of several worldwide museums, including the Museé du Montparnesse in Paris.
