Famous for titles such as Saturn Devouring His Sons and The Third of May, 1808, Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Spanish, 1746-1828). This is a print from Goya's Disasters of War series: an etching of "Fiero Monstruo! (Fierce Moster!)" (plate 81), which has a blind stamp from the Calcografia Nacional. It is housed in a silver gilt frame with a white mat. The impression area of the framed image measures 7" x 8 1/2", and the frame measures 15" x 17”.
From the same Disasters of War series, we are also selling a rag stock or similar stock print of "Farandula de Charlatanes (Showbiz of Charlatans)" (plate 75). The impression area of that image, unframed, measures 6 3/4" x 8 1/2", and the full sheet measures 10" x 13 1/2".
